S.H.A.R.E.

Fernanda Gallo Freschi’s choice of S.H.A.R.E. — Sustainability and Human Rights through Accountability, Respect and Empowerment — reflects her deep commitment to building a climate-just, inclusive, and engaged community that uplifts women and girls worldwide.

In her inaugural message, Gallo Freschi frames S.H.A.R.E. as a guiding principle for lasting change:

  • Accountability ensures that Zonta’s actions are transparent, ethical, and aligned with its mission.
  • Respect fosters a culture where all members are valued and heard, regardless of background.
  • Empowerment equips individuals to take action, advocate for change, and lead with courage.

She explains that S.H.A.R.E. is about transparency, collaboration, and community, and that embracing it will strengthen Zonta’s advocacy, programs, and local impact. Under her leadership, the motto will be applied to initiatives such as:

  • Women in decision-making
  • Climate justice
  • Education equality
  • Ending violence against women and girls.

Gallo Freschi’s own background — nearly 40 years in male-dominated technical fields, personal experience overcoming gender-based workplace inequalities, and a focus on workplace gender equality auditing — informs her belief that leadership rooted in these values is essential for creating a better world for women and girls, and by extension, for all.

In short, she chose S.H.A.R.E. because it encapsulates the core values and actions she believes are necessary to make Zonta more effective, relevant, and impactful in addressing the urgent challenges of gender equality and climate justice.
