“Christmas in July Bunco Fundraiser!
The Zonta Club of Riverside’s Christmas in July Bunco Fundraiser, held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the Arlington Library, was a joyful blend of holiday spirit and summer sunshine. Guests arrived to find the library’s community room transformed into a festive wonderland, complete with cheerful decorations, and a Christmas tree adorned with ornaments.
The afternoon kicked off with warm greetings, light refreshments, and plenty of laughter as attendees settled in for several lively rounds of Bunco. For many, it was their first time playing, but the friendly atmosphere made it easy to join in. Between games, participants enjoyed raffle drawings, holiday-themed treats, and the chance to mingle with fellow community members.
The event wasn’t just about fun—it carried a meaningful purpose. Proceeds supported the Zonta Club of Riverside’s Charitable and Educational Fund, including their newest service project, the Soap Project, (Save Our Adolescents from Prostitution) dedicated to preventing human trafficking through awareness, education, and community outreach as well as, the Basic Needs Resource Center at Riverside City College, which provides essential resources to students in need.
By the end of the day, the room was filled with smiles, new friendships, and a shared sense of accomplishment. The fundraiser was a resounding success, blending community connection with the joy of giving—proving that Christmas spirit truly shines year-round.
