Empowering Women and Girls Through Action
Every program at the Zonta Club of Riverside is designed to uplift, inspire, and empower women and girls in our community. Discover how our core focus areas are making a meaningful difference—one life, one story, one success at a time.
The Zonta Club of Riverside Area gives annually and chooses the winners based upon how many applications we receive and how much money our sponsors and donors give our club the previous year.
Zonta Young Women in Leadership Award
Zonta recognizes young women for demonstrating leadership skills and commitment to public service with up to 37 awards of US$5,000 each annually.

✓ Experience in local government, student government, or workplace leadership (paid or unpaid).
✓ Volunteer leadership achievements.
✓ Knowledge of Zonta International and its programs.
✓ Support in Zonta International’s mission of building a better world for women and girls.
Zonta Young Women in Stem
Zonta encourages women to pursue education in STEM through a pilot program, offering up to 16 awards of US$10,000 and a complimentary one-year supporting membership in Zonta International for the next financial year.

Zonta Women in Business Leadership Award
Zonta celebrates women who demonstrate exceptional leadership and entrepreneurial spirit, offering 10 international awards of US$10,000 each and a complimentary one-year supporting membership in Zonta International for the next financial year.
✓ Exceptional leadership in a business-related field of study or industry.
✓ Entrepreneurial spirit.
✓ Ethical conduct.
✓ Significant contributions to addressing global or local issues affecting women and girls or climate justice.
Amelia Earhart Fellowship
Zonta annually awards up to 30 Fellowships of US$10,000 each to women pursuing Ph.D./doctoral degrees in aerospace engineering and space sciences.
✓ The Amelia Earhart Fellowship was established in 1938 in honor of famed pilot and Zontian, Amelia Earhart.
✓ Zonta has awarded 1,794 Amelia Earhart Fellowships, totaling more than US$12.2 million, to 1,365 women from 80 countries.
✓ Our Fellows have gone on to become astronauts, aerospace engineers, astronomers, professors, geologists, business owners, heads of companies, even Secretary of the US Air Force.
