The Zonta Club of Riverside presents “Join Me for a Cup of Coffee or Tea”… It’s a club meeting that introduces advocacy, service and a program such as a speaker that shares our vision where women’s rights are recognized as human rights, women have access to all resources and are represented in decision-making positions on an equal basis with men and no woman lives in fear of violence.

The Zonta Club of Riverside invites community members to join their upcoming meeting on Saturday, September 19 at 1:00 PM at La Sierra Community Room. This gathering is more than just a meeting—it’s a hands-on opportunity to make a difference. Attendees will help pack Zonta Care Bags for Meals on Wheels recipients, ensuring that local seniors receive not only nutritious meals but also thoughtful items that brighten their day.
While working together, participants will also learn about Zonta’s mission to build a better world for women and girls in Riverside and beyond. The club’s initiatives focus on advocacy, education, and service projects that address issues such as gender equality, safety, and economic empowerment.
Whether you’re a long-time supporter or new to the cause, this event offers a welcoming space to connect with like-minded individuals, contribute to a meaningful project, and discover ways to get involved in ongoing efforts. No prior experience is needed—just bring your willingness to help and your passion for community service.
By joining us on September 19, you’ll be part of a global movement with a local impact, working together to create lasting change for women, girls, and the community at large.
In 1930, the Zonta Club of Riverside was formed…one of the first Zonta clubs in California and is still going strong. They are still the oldest Zonta club in California and one of the oldest in the organization. The club assists women and girls locally with different services projects. The club’s newest service project, the Soap Project, (Save Our Adolescents from Prostitution) dedicated to preventing human trafficking through awareness, education, and community outreach, and will continue with their community project at the Riverside Community College.
The Basic Needs Resource Center at RCC aims to help and supplement students where they cannot help themselves and provides services and basic needs to allow students to thrive during the school year. They also inspire women to apply for scholarships such as Young Women in Leadership, Young Women in Business and Young Women in STEM. The club also advocates equality, education and an end to child marriage & gender-based violence locally and all over the world.
